Leica Biopsy Pads

Biopsy Pads are made from open-celled foam, which allows fluids to transfer safely and thoroughly around 

tissue while holding the specimen securely.

To prevent floating and avoid artifacts, Biopsy Pads should be presaturated in fixative.

The thin design helps eliminate excess pressure from being applied to unfixed specimens, reducing the risk 

of tissue sticking to the pads or fibers coming apart during embedding.

Available in white or blue foam, circular or rectangular.

The thinner pads also allow for less fluid carry-over during processing.
